E-moderation Course
I have recently completed a 40hour online moderation course from The Consultants-E based in Barcelona, Spain.
The course covered how to use a virtual learning environment, becoming familiar with the stages learners pass through whilst using a VLE, and we acquired skills for dealing with all these stages. We also developed skills to handle student’s work online and learned to set up and implement a variety of online tasks.
We looked at the principles of online versus face-to-face learning and also reflected on our development as an online tutor. All of this was done using practical tasks and with constant help and support from our tutors.
The group as a whole including the tutors we from many differing backgrounds and this added to the strength of the course rather than detracting from it.
To anyone who is interested in going further in this area I can certainly recommend this course as a good step on the way. The price is 375,00 Euros but I believe various discounts can be arranged. It lasted for the whole of the month of July and was very involving and extremely interesting.
